Leonard Franklin Register (Frank) joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of The University of Texas at Austin in 2000. Previously he held a Research Scientist position with the Computational Electronics Group, Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His current research focuses on the theory and simulation of charge transport in deep submicron and nanoscaled devices, particularly “non-classical” CMOS, including quantum and “quantum corrected” transport. He has also published in areas of device reliability, scattering theory, lasers and single electronics.
